Music To The Soul....

"Art is Life!"

The arts are truly important to our lives in many ways. They are a means of relaxation, expression, and cultural treasure. Be it visual arts, writing, theater, dance or music, we need to preserve the arts for our own good.
Many people dismiss rather than encourage developments and support of the arts, concentrating on science and math, or sports. I am here to tell you that music itself is one of the greatest possible tools for development of the academic mind, and the athlete.
Mozart's music has been been proven to improve test scores of university students, if listened to for 20 minutes before exams. More so than a 20 minute nap, or quiet meditation ! While studying, it is said to enhance learning ability and retention.
Different forms of music can get you motivated for your workout, your work day, a fun time out with friends and family, or the big game! It is used in operating rooms to help relax both doctor and patient, while keeping blood pressure levels down for the benefit of both. It encourages healing in the body on a cellular level. It soothes us when we need to relax, and enhances our lives with it's unspoken language.
Music can evoke the greatest of emotions, and add a great effect to any movie. Think of your favorite soundtracks, or even a favorite movie, and go over that music and how it makes you feel.
Music Therapy is a growing form of highly effective means to treat people in many cases of trauma and illness. When used in conjunction with other forms of therapy, such as visual arts, diet and exercise, it's healing effects are multiplied intensely.
The arts help us deal with everything, and encourage parts of the brain, and even the cells in the body into appropriate action. Scientists have even discovered that amino acids in our DNA even have their own individual sound! Musical notes for our Genetic Codes! How amazing! Music is in us all, and must remain an integral part of the lives of each and every one of us. Preserve the arts, preseve and empower the artists, for without them , what would we be?

Support The Arts!
